Privacy Policy
Last updated June 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CastLens (“CastLens”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the CastLens app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, and optionally your display name and headline.
- Content you submit — self-tape videos, photos, titles, notes, and any feedback or critiques you write or receive.
- Usage and device information — basic technical data needed to operate the Service (e.g. app version, device type, and request logs).
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
How we use your information
- To provide the Service — store and stream your self-tapes, deliver feedback, and surface opportunities.
- To enable industry professionals you submit to (agents, casting directors, brands) to review your tapes and respond.
- To maintain the safety and integrity of the Service, including moderating content and responding to reports.
- To communicate with you about your account and the Service.
How your content is shared
Self-tapes you submit to an opportunity are visible to the person or organization that posted it. Tapes you publish to discovery may be visible to other members per the in-app settings. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and security
Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers. Video and files are kept in private object storage and accessed through short-lived, signed links. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your profile and associated content from the Service. You may also email us to request deletion. Some records may be retained where required by law.
Children
CastLens is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us at [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
